Abstract

Cerebrovascular diseases are one of the most pressing medical and socio-economic problems. In the structure of total mortality, cerebrovascular disease accounts for 21.4% of accidents and disability after stroke is 3.2 per 10,000 people, making it the leading cause of primary disability. Diabetes is one of the most important risk factors for stroke. Diabetes is now a global medical and social problem, and its growth rate has reached the level of a global epidemic. This article discusses the pathological progress that exists between these two diseases.
