Historical and Geographical Regions of Chaghaniyan

In this article, the place which is called Chaganiyon or Sogoniyon, located northeast of Termez, is discussed. In the early Middle Ages, the region was located in the Chogonrud (now Surkhandarya) basin. It is bordered by the Kashkadarya oasis in the east and the Termez region in the southwest. At present, the territory of this property corresponds to Boysun, Denov, Kumkurgan, Sariosiyo, Shurchi, Uzun and Boysun districts of Surkhandarya region on the basis of historical and scientific sources.
