Abstract

Plastics play a major role in the automotive industry. As a results, the development of automotives without plastics is impossible. There are many advantages of using plastics for automobile such as: Comfort, safety, low cost, weight reduction, corrosion and impact resistance, integration potential and design freedom. Because of these benefits, plastics have gained a permanent place for themselves in vehicle body design and will continue to play a prominent role in automotive applications in future.
