Abstract

Formation and development of fiction-realistic literature for children of the first and second half of the XIX century. The beginning of the institutional promotion of children's literature. Illustration. An invaluable contribution to the development of children's literature was made by many leading figures in Russian culture and public thought. In the late 30's - early 40's of the XIX century in literature are radical changes.
