This article examines the importance and role of ensuring the protective function of the criminal process, and also analyzes the issues of the defense's involvement in juvenile cases. It has also been proved that the active and sincere participation of the defense counsel, the application of all methods and means provided by law in the interests of his client, is important in a fair trial in favor of the accused.
